I made these at a Boy Scout campout. They are GREAT!
Stuff you’ll need for this recipe:
Hot Campfire or BBQ pit or gas grill
Aluminum foil (my mom says Reynolds Quick Release is best)
Uncooked Meat like chicken or hamburger or steak or fish
Vegetables like onions, potatoes, carrots, celery, peas or whatever you like
Salt and pepper
Shredded cheese
Sharp knife
How to make it:
Tear off a piece of aluminum foil about 18 inches long (that is the length of two of my shoes)
Cut up your meat into bite sized pieces. Remember to curl your fingers in away from the knife when holding the meat and vegetables.
Cut up your vegetables into bite sized pieces.
Put a handful of meat on the foil. You can even mix the kinds of meat, if you like.
Then put as many different vegetables on there as you like.
Sprinkle it with salt and pepper.
If you like cheese, put a handful of cheese on it too.
Fold up the package. Mae sure all ends are sealed the best you can.
Then tear off a new piece of aluminum foil the same size as the first. Put the package that you just folded up on this one and mold the new foil around it to form an animal of your choice. I just made an egg. My mom made some kind of bird. She really likes birds. Some of my friends made sharks, scorpions, ducks and crabs.
Put your animal on the outside edge of your campfire or right on the red hot coals of a BBQ grill or on the grill of a gas grill. Cook for 20 minutes. Have a grown up be sure your meat if cooked all the way before you eat it.
You’ll love these.
