Robin Burns created this beautiful blanket based on the story found in Luke 5:17-21 where four of the best friends a man could ever have, carried their paralyzed friend a long distance on a blanket to be healed by Jesus.

When they saw the huge crowds surrounding the place where Jesus was, they didn’t give up. They wanted to see their friend healed, so they climbed on the roof of the house where Jesus was and made a hole in the roof large enough to lower their friend through on his blanket. They lowered him down right at Jesus feet. Jesus was touched by their faith and healed the man, telling him to get up and walk.

Robin will embroider a scripture reference of your choice in each corner of your blanket where one of the friends’ hands would have been. She also will sew a beautiful message of your choice in the center where the paralyzed friend would have laid.

She made her first blanket for her Aunt Bunny who regularly goes through dialysis and is always cold. Aunt Bunny is also blind. She told Robin that something that she really missed was reading the scriptures. So Robin created the first scripture blanket for her with her favorite scriptures in each corner so Aunt Bunny would be “covered in the Word” whenever she goes to dialysis.
